England player ratings vs Japan as Eddie Jones’ men got their Autumn Nations Series campaign back on track with a 52-13 win at Twickenham.
Freddie Steward’s try combined with a conversion and penalty from Owen Farrell put the home side 10-0 up early on.
Further tries from Marcus Smith and Guy Porter put the hosts 24-6 in front at the break with Farrell converting both while Takuya Yamasawa kicked two penalties fro Japan.
Quickfire tries from Ellis Genge and Porter ended the game as a contest with Farrell again converting both, 38-6.
Naoto Saito’s score, converted by Seungsin Lee, reduced the deficit before a penalty try pushed England back ahead.
Smith then put the icing on the cake with his second try of the game late on after collecting a kick through from Henry Slade, who as winning his 50th cap.
